Microbial Growth Within Ceiling and Walls

These homeowners had microbial/fungal growth within their home and garage area. Our SERVPRO crew members were able to perform remediation, but first, as always, a containment barrier was created. Containment barriers prevent microbial spores from being expelled into the atmosphere outside of the affected area. 

Containment barriers were placed in other various spots in the home to prevent the spread of spores to unaffected areas, if any. 

You can help prevent microbial growth by properly ventilating your home, especially in high moisture areas like bathrooms and kitchens. It's also important to understand the difference between remediation and removal.
